i played threw it as much as i could i was the warrior first then the hunter then the shamman and still couldnt cook anytihng in the fire. i even put it all on easy watched the tutorial and made a couldren, and still nothing. and yes i do put wood in the fire and i was wondering if there was a button or something to click for the food to be ready but i asume there isnt. also on my version i cant split groups of food apart, say i kill a boar and get 3 lots of meat i cant right click or shift and just put 1 food down, so when i cook the meat it all hasto go and and nothing comes out.

yeah i ended up updating it again from 1.21 to the latest, and it fixed the game completely XD so its all good the new updates for JTS work and the game is awesome XD thanks guys

My internet was lagging me much and I still don't have a group to play this map. So I tryed to play alone to know each class.

I found that even with lavel 4 weapon and shield and 3 level 4 fully upgraded pieces of armor. I had a hell of a time trying to beat the Boos bear with full hp. I know! that I am not supposed to even try it.
But in 10 or more rounds with a camp near I managed. The Boss Bear is SO badass against meele...
It stuns you all the time. So I got a suggestion. Make the warrior more resistant against stuns! Dunno, perhaps a natural resistance. Or in juggernaut stance. Or even bonus by achivement.

Just think if it would be good and balance things...

I was playing "test version 25", and I saw that there's no Hardcore mode anymore! Well, I liked it. It gave another dificulty option to make things interesting. I think you should think about put it back at least.

Another thing. I suggest that the shaman class could have "craft parchment" too... he really could get a better use for the totem in begining and get some tanker undead stuff to help him. Because its very hard to do damage in some mobs SPECIALLY when you come with "Malaria spell" ¬¬
Or perhaps a zombie scout. (Shaman is too slow)

Think if it woud be fair.

Thank you, keep it that way (and play in Multiplayer with some other poor souls : )

About warrior: disagree. We are already searching ways how to elegantly nerf that killing machine.


About hardcore mode: well, it was a bit too hard to find the resources for a totem in 1 day, especially if not having a Shaman. And we wanted to make game more idiot-proof and user friendly Razz

About the parchment: well, you're maybe right. But it is quite easily accessed now - Inventor crafting and 2 basic buildings. Still, if there is a free slot in Shaman crafting, it should maybe be added to him and then removed from building craftings.

About bushes cut by knife: it's maybe better, but I can't imagine any way to make the damn game make difference between those destructibles.

You can add Craft Parchment to Shaman (yes he has 1 free slot ot it. And now will be 2 because you should then remove craft totem from him [and from Voodoo Hut!!!] 'cause there will be no HARDCORE mode anymore)

I think the idea for knifes being able to cut bushes was ALSO to not depend so much on random drops.
I think if you also double(or even triple or quadruple) the HP on random Rocks and Hardrocks, then you would deppend less in random drops not only for Tinders but for Stones, Flints, and Manastones.

Its an idea for droping the random spawn in map and, with it, drop the lag and crashes.

Dunno if its the perfect idea for it. But you could try if you want.

My suggestion is "Randomly Generated Map". Because sometimes map realy boring for us. We know everywhere and everyplace. We need to discovery new places.

Well we allready randomized a lot animal spawning, rock, berrybush and plants spawning... carnivorous plant is completly random.
so basically the only thing that stay the same is the tree, the bushes, the moving sand, the piranha area, the boss area and oil area...
i wouldn't mind randomizing the oil but since it is strategically placed to give all tribe same chance to get some and also make it not so easy to get.

randomizing the tree would completly mess up the map, unless randomizing just a very few of them to change the "maze like pathing" of the map to make some variation.
piranha area are just impossible to randomize (we can just remove or let the piranha inside) or maybe we could put an alligator sometime instead ( i dunno)

i tried for a long time to work on a completly randomized map even randomizing water level depending on rain and freezing lake when snowing...
but war3 editor is really not made up for this, and making a good looking terrain and good working gameplay map in all random is completly impossible.

actually Bush are not unit but destructible, wich mean to attack them you need to have the cut tree ability, if you have cut tree ability then you can cut either Bushes or Tree because there all Destructible (considered as tree target)
the only way to allow bush targeting would be to make them units, wich would increase memory usage (increase lag, desync)
another problem is that the axe or dagger don't really add damage, they just give critical chance to normal damage, so the damage dealt would be same on tree and bushes... the only way i see to do this would be with ability targeting the destructible with filter (bush) that would damage the Bush and not the tree, the problem is dagger allready have an ability (throwing)... and to be honest in the jungle you can't cut bushes and vines with dagger you need a machete. :p

i agree that malaria isn't great in PvE, maybe we could do give a special spellbook to Shaman and when he click this book he can choose any spellbook he want as starter.
this way he could plan his strategy without depending on chance. (and quite easy to implement i think)


By the way test 25 was very buggy sorry to all but the latest version should be good...
i worked on it for fives days to ensure it is bug free. (i hope it is)

How about item destroying ... I like shaman but when I fight Frolls there are so many harpoons that I can't carry nor destroy. Same with quests. If you do lot of them you gonna have experience book spam and you are fu**ed as well. ( Is there way how to destory items ? ( if there is some ) ).
And unload all button for your herbs so they wont be neutral but friendly ( to you ) and you will just push G and they will unload what the got, because if you got big farm its annoying to unload all of them manualyl.

about items, destroying them is a problem, because when they are destroyed the cannot be removed from memory that also happen if the hp of item is low enough..
this would cause leak, and little by little slow the game and create lag. but if it was really needed we could add a way to remove the item from game without having to destroy them. but i don't think it is the greatest priority.

about plants farming you have a good point, i just finished 5.5 latest version, and won't be able to work on it for 1 month. i am not sure it will be implented in the 5.5.
but it shouldn't be too hard to do. so it will probably be done since it will make life much easier for farmers troll. but you know you could unload them even if they would stay neutral, the only strange thing is that other neutral plants shouldn't have a harvest ability...or maybe they could... Smile

well i hope the version is good because i need rest Smile

I think that, if any class can benefit from any fur armor, it could as well benefit from any tortoise fur armor.

Something to consider. Having a bear fur armor for the heat and not being able to upgrade it to use is a pain. If you got one you deserve all of it. "Having to" use less heat to upgrade it is a little meaningless, as both the level 1 and 2 leather armor are. Very rare to see.

My (other) idea, to put some meaning to the variety to the armors, is to change the level scope of leather armors to 1 as well and imbue all armors with some TOTEMIC ANIMAL POWER of its own. Fur armors as well!

The defense does not NEED to change, but to reconfigure all armors, it certainly could.

That's the hole idea. It would awaken new interest in every animal in the jungle.

I offer add some upgrades for golem : its created from wood (150 hp 2 armor) and fast as troll, you can upgrade 'em by adding 2 stone (+50 hp 2 armor), 2 bronze (+100 hp +2 armor) and iron (100 hp and +2 armor) so with all hull upgrades 450 hp and 8 armour total, each hull upgrade decreases movement speed (so he moves like warrior with full armor set) and adds bonus dmg to structures for mining (stronger hull- stronger hit), each hull upgrade adds fuel capacity (like in flamethrower) +5. Give ability to use chainsaw or flamethrower, adding launcher made of bronze gives him able to use flares, rockets , grenades and net. Ability to run fast (like with upgraded in shaman hut boots) by adding another engine , it consumes fuel 1 per use.
Because of the cost it should not completely die : when died leave invincible golem corpse with 1 hp , inventor can fix him by hammer (repair on full hp) or by adding material (each material have fixed hp value: stone +50 hp, bronze 200 , iron 450) for immediatly fix he can also loose some fuel when died.
All this things create new tactic: inventor puppet maker . Full golem with flamethrower and net launcher, ventor with hammer , fuel and materials, as example.

And another things is about chainsaw : give ability to instantly cut trees (3 tree per fuel)

Its interesting this new idea of auto-resting just for being static, just by standing. But 6 energy per sec is too much I think. The way it is now makes the game lose part of the challenge and fun (not to mention the utility of tents/troll hut). No need to rest or sleep anymore.

I think you should put like 2 energy per sec (+or-), and put 4 energy per sec near tent, and 6 near troll hut (This or change back to the way its was: the sleep system)



I liked the new idea of tents/troll hut now gives heat per sec when you rest near it. But I think it should give less heat than firecamp/forge. Like 1 or 2 per sec.

By the way, the new weapon damage bonus system is awesome Exclamation

Another thing. Everybody knows the 3 random book buttons kind of sucks. As a Inventor and Hunter you can get Gun or Bow to make some good damage, but as Shaman people wants fireball Exclamation 

I think its time to change the 3 itens of choice shaman has to start.

How about they choose between:
1. Fireball book
2. Sacrificial Dagger
3. Blowpipe (with ammo)

I think its more creative this choices for different start builds.


Thats my idea.

Long time no see.

I found really cool the weapon's bonus damage system.

I noticed that warriors with dual weapons don't gain attack speed anymore. Instead they gain even more damage and an area ability. Its cool, but it sucks when cutting trees in the beginning of the game.

I think it would be more logic give them double attack speed and only 1x weapon damage bonus, like it was 2 attacks, one with each weapon. The sad thing is that if you do this it would get OP with this new AreaDamage ability. But its one idea to think about. Perhaps nerf the AreaAbility... dunno.
